This policy explains how JLA (UK) Ltd, trading as JLA Accountants (“we”), uses personal data collected through this website. We are the data controller. Company number 08935290, 42 Lytton Road, New Barnet, Hertfordshire EN5 5BY.

What we collect and why

• Enquiries. When you book a call or send us a message, we collect your name, email address, phone number (if given) and what you tell us. We use it only to reply and to discuss working together. Our lawful basis is legitimate interests (answering your enquiry) and, if you become a client, steps before entering a contract.
• Newsletter. If you subscribe, we use your email address to send our updates. Our lawful basis is your consent. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and you can withdraw consent at any time.

Sending an enquiry does not sign you up to our newsletter.

Who processes it for us

Our website is hosted in the EU by our web developer, and enquiries reach us by email through an email delivery service. These suppliers act on our instructions under contract and may not use your data for anything else. We do not sell your data or share it with anyone else unless the law requires us to.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that don’t lead to an engagement are deleted within 12 months. If you become a client, your data is held under our engagement letter and our professional record-keeping obligations. Newsletter subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe.

Cookies

This website does not set cookies or use analytics or advertising trackers.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of your data, and ask us to correct it, delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, or move it elsewhere. Email info@jla.accountants or call 020 8441 1140. If you’re unhappy with how we have handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
